The Cannon model is my token single fin. With a touch more nose lift than a traditional single fin this little number will allow the modern surfing style to adapt to riding this single a little easier.
It starts with a rolled vee in the entry blending into a very slight single concave under the chest running into a vee double concave in the back half of the board. It is ridden with a lot of volume in the board with most of the foam positioned up the front end. This allows the board to paddle extremely well but also loves to be ridden far forward on the board which is great for riding the barrel.
To allow the rail line to maintain connection with such high volume, I have positioned a deep double concave on the deck of the board around the back foot. This allows two things with the shape, 1. the rail line is low with minimal volume which gives connection and bite to the back end rail line; 2. It creates a comfortable arch under your back foot which enables you to push against through bottom turns or cutbacks allowing better leverage from your back foot against the 7-8" single fin.
The Cannon still maintains some of the traditional features such as a beak nose, and more foam positioned in the front half of the board.
