My experience is limited to beach break wave type. The board feels like it was struck by lightening with unbound energy. I feel this is due to the FF technology. Overall I felt that the board allowed me to move around the wave face with finesse and precision. I have not yet ridden this board in proper waves of power and am curious to discover what happens. My main point of concern would be that the FF technology places my board “on top of the water” and doesn’t allow me to really engage a rail. This remains to be seen and felt. In closing I feel this board has brought a spark to my surfing.

This was the first Haydenshapes board i have ever ridden. and it definitely surprised the hell out of me. the waves in california have been terrible this summer to say the least, and the past 3 weeks since i have been riding this board it was made me motivated enough to paddle out and surf when normally i ask my self, “what’s the point?!”

i sound like an old man but at this point in life when i go surf i just don’t want to have to try super hard to get speed and i want to be able to turn when and how i want to. this board does exactly that and more.

This is one of the best all round boards I have ever had. Paddles really well and let's you in early. Have surfed it in 1-5 ft surf and feels great. Goes good as a groveller , surprisingly fast over weak sections and loose enough to turn. When bigger feels really nice, holds rail really well, doesn't feel skatey at all and can lay into turns with confidence.

I have a virtue for when it's really small, and a white Noiz ( both go great) but hard to get off cohort in any surf small up to 4-5 ft.
